GVBA Supports KidSport, Jumpstart and Let Kids Play!
KidSport
GVBA would like to encourage Leagues and Coaches to notify their parents about The KidSport™ Fund. The KidSport™ Fund is the charitable arm of Sport BC that is designed to remove the financial obstacles that prevent some children from playing sport. Grants to INDIVIDUAL ATHLETES are given to children whose families cannot afford sport registration fees and would otherwise not be able to participate in a season of sport. Jumpstart
The Canadian Tire Jumpstart program is a community-based charitable program that helps kids aged 4-18 participate in organized sports and recreation such as hockey, dance, soccer and swimming, so they can develop important life skills, self esteem and confidence. Let Kids Play
The purpose of Let Kids Play Foundation is to increase the health, enhance and develop the skills of low-income and underprivileged youth (under the age of 18) by providing funds to enable them to participate in organized sporting activities.
