Based on a motion passed by the Board of Directors of GVBA on September 1st, 2010, the Midget AAA team(s) that GVBA fields will now fall under the purview of the GVBA High Performance Division. Until now our Midget AAA team(s) had previously been managed for GVBA by LVI. This change of management will not affect a player's options of trying out and playing for either of the two Premier franchises and subsequently deciding that they would like to try out for Midget AAA baseball.
The general timelines for the Midget AAA team selection is that it occurs after the Premier teams are selected which is usually in November. However, potential Midget AAA players, whether trying out for either the Mariners or Eagles Premier franchises or desiring to only play Midget AAA, will be assessed within the Eagles or Mariners Fall Ball programs. All players who play Fall Ball with the Mariners or Eagles and are not selected to a Premier team are eligible to be selected to the Midget AAA team. LVI and GVBA will be cooperating to ensure that all players will be welcome to the Midget AAA team.
Tryouts and Fall Ball for Eagles Premier and Jr. Premier and GVBA Midget AAA begin this Thursday, Sept 9th, 5:30pm-8:30pm at Lambrick Park. Please note: this set of sessions is not for those players who are Bantam Eagles for the 2010/2011 season (please see the post below for information on their program).
